The IGDA Game Design Special Interest Group (GDSIG) connects game designers from all over the world with a common purpose: to improve our practice and understanding of game design.
The Game Design SIG was officially organized on 22 December, 2008, and is presently governed by an Interim Steering Commitee. Our first official elections will take place shortly after GDC ’09. In the meantime, the ISC is working to establish the policies and organizational structure of the SIG and laying the foundation for the group’s web presence.
The SIG mailing list is currently available here. To join the SIG, simply sign up for the mailing list.
Note: GDSIG is geared primarily toward working professionals and academics. Students are welcome to join the discussions; however, if you’re just looking to “break in”, you may be better served by the Student Action SIG or IGDA’s Breaking In site.
